Job Description
The role involves leading the India-based IT team to support and manage the company's technology infrastructure, automate processes, oversee critical projects, and ensure smooth IT operations across the organization, with a focus on enhancing employee experience and driving strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site managerial support to India office operations specialists and IT team members.
- Oversee the technical architecture, delivery, and automation of IT solutions, including AI and DevOps projects.
- Supervise evaluation, development, and implementation of internal SaaS, automation, and AI initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Manage performance reviews, develop operational metrics, and create dashboards for leadership reporting.
- Collaborate on designing, implementing, and integrating business applications across teams.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to assess their impact on organizational applications.
- Gather technical requirements, conduct gap analysis, and contribute to backlog grooming for IT projects.
Requirements
- A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, engineering or a related field
- 12 years of experience in an IT Systems Engineering role, with at least some part of that managing small teams preferably
- At least 3 years of experience working with identity management tooling, eg. OKTA, SSO, Google Workspaces, Slack
- 3 years of experience working with development and automation projects
- Related experience in architecture, design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems, applications and major SaaS solutions
- Ability to spearhead and drive work without supervision across functions and collaborate with all levels of users and management, esp. in a remote environment
- Must be detail oriented, self-organized, be committed to quality and capable of tracking multiple work streams simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-changing, dynamic, and agile environment, including the ability to manage time and maintain an excellent work ethic
- Candidate must have mentoring and guidance skills to provide oversight and direction to contractors and internal members of the engineering team
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Exposure to scale in a SaaS-first IT environment such as Slack, Zoom, Github, Zendesk, Atlassian suite, etc.
- Developed and managed applications in a team environment
- Expertise with AWS and Google Cloud Platform
- Expertise in corporate networking and email infrastructure, CCNP knowledge
- Exposure to GitHub, Terraform and CI CD methodologies
