Job Description
The Sr. Employee Relations Partner at Samsara will provide strategic guidance on sensitive employee relations matters, including performance management and misconduct, while fostering a high-trust culture within the organization. This role requires expertise in employee relations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex workplace issues while ensuring alignment with company values.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and guide management on employee relations decisions.
- Collaborate with People Partners and Legal on employee relations issues.
- Evolve employee relations processes and practices.
- Support business leaders in addressing workplace concerns.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and employment laws.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations matters.
- Use HR analytics to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
- Advocate for an inclusive workplace as part of DEI programs.
- Drive accountability and operational excellence in case management.
- Partner with internal departments to enhance employee experience.
- Support training initiatives and develop management toolkits.
- Participate in projects as a member of the People team.
- Champion and embed company cultural principles.
Requirements
- 8 years of relevant work experience including deep domain experience in the areas of employee relations, workplace conflict, and performance management.
- In-depth understanding of all aspects of European employment and human resources related laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts, and practices.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
- Strong business and people acumen, as well as consulting, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail in the documentation of employee relations issues.
- Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and or confrontational situations.
- Demonstrated solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business.
- Ability to work collaboratively, spearhead and influence at all levels within the organization, and make judgments while keeping all partners and leaders informed.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and iterative environment with a propensity to thrive in ambiguity.
- Strong bias for action, process orientation, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
- In-depth understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion issues and how they apply to employee relations.
