Job Description
The Sales Engineering New Grad at Samsara will assist the Global Sales Team by addressing technical inquiries, supporting product trials, and creating software solutions, while gaining hands-on experience with IoT technology and customer operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Global Sales Team with technical inquiries and tasks
- Support technical trials to demonstrate the value of Samsara solutions
- Create software scripting solutions and integrations for proof of concepts
- Provide internal technical assistance for account teams
- Produce and manage digital content for product learning and adoption
- Update and manage internal hardware and software lab infrastructure
- Coordinate and participate in new product testing activities
- Gather industry-specific customer use cases for Samsara solutions
- Coordinate cross-functional communication for prospect success
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles
Requirements
- Currently earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field, with exposure to a related business discipline such as Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Information Systems (BIS), or Information Systems (IS).
- Have a customer-first mindset and a passion for working with people to design and build scalable solutions involving both hardware and software components.
- Have a solid history of tinkering with things like electrical components, hardware gadgets, sensors, networks, and vehicles.
- Be able to highlight several things you’ve built in the past.
- Be available for internal Q&A from Samsara account teams requesting technical assistance on behalf of their customers.
- Assist the Global Sales Team with their technical inquiries and tasks by monitoring and maintaining an inbound question queue.
- Update and manage internal hardware and software lab infrastructure, both in office and remote kits.
- Coordinate and participate in new product testing activities.
- Gather and highlight industry-specific customer use cases for Samsara solutions by working with technical sales teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure prospect success including RFP responses, Product Feature Request management, and Customer Support triaging.
