Job Description

The Renewal Account Executive at Samsara is responsible for managing and renewing SaaS contracts with mid-market and commercial clients, ensuring customer success, maximizing revenue, and identifying growth opportunities through building strong customer relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage 150 renewal deals per quarter from end-to-end
  • Achieve and exceed renewal sales targets for commercial and mid-market accounts
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to solve problems, upsell, and ensure smooth renewals
  • Identify growth opportunities and minimize financial attrition in renewal deals
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term success

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of full cycle closing sales experience, ideally working with mid-sized businesses in a high transaction environment.
  • A track record of consistent quota over-achievement.
  • Comfort with a rapidly changing, high-growth environment.
  • Empathy for customers and team members.
  • Highly organized with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Ability to own 150 renewals per quarter from end-to-end.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, especially with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives, to strategically solve problems, upsell, and ensure a successful, smooth renewal process.
  • Proactive in identifying and contributing to material improvements in team functions.

  • Annual on-target earnings (OTE) range of $66,640 to $78,400 USD, depending on city of residence.
