Job Description
The role involves building and evolving Samsara's AI platform to enable internal and customer-facing creation, customization, and deployment of intelligent agents, focusing on platform reliability, developer velocity, and real-world impact across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the internal platform tools for building and deploying AI agents.
- Develop infrastructure to scale AI intelligence across products and improve agent reliability.
- Manage the runtime, documentation, routing, and orchestration layers to enhance developer velocity.
- Ensure agents deliver accurate and trustworthy responses by managing RAG pipelines, data connectors, and knowledge infrastructure.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to unblock agent development and incorporate feedback to shape platform priorities.
Requirements
- A proven track-record of driving measurable business impact through shipping product, not just managing activity or competencies.
- Demonstrated experience in defining and executing a product roadmap for complex technical platform areas e.g., core infrastructure, vendor relationships, AI platforms.
- Strong technical acumen, with a deep understanding of how to build for enterprise-scale, reliability, and performance capable of establishing immediate credibility with engineers.
- Excellent communication skills, with comfort in presenting to customers, internal audiences, and senior executives.
- 7 years of experience in Product Management or equivalent roles.
- Experience building internal platforms, developer tools, or infrastructure products.
- Experience shipping products where engineers or technical teams are the primary users.
- Familiarity with AI ML systems and concepts, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration, even if not built by the candidate.
- A track record of driving developer velocity and adoption, measured through metrics like time-to-onboard, SDK adoption, or internal NPS, and the ability to build for technical users.
- Experience defining and operationalizing quality evaluation frameworks, such as systems that measure product quality at scale (e.g., A/B testing infrastructure, data quality pipelines, automated testing frameworks).
- Comfort with ambiguity and building from the ground up, with a focus on inventing rather than optimizing, and defining primitives that shape how AI is built across Samsara.
