Job Description
This role involves bringing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to mid-sized customers, expanding Samsara's business, and demonstrating the benefits of sensor data. The position requires engaging with clients through complex sales processes, including technical proofs of concept and negotiations with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand Samsara's business by bringing IoT solutions to mid-sized customers
- Conduct technical POCs and manage complex pricing negotiations
- Perform outbound prospecting to grow the sales pipeline
- Engage with customers from acquisition through qualification to closing
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve deal blockers
- Become a product expert and learn the Samsara sales methodology
- Represent Samsara at trade shows and engage with potential customers
Requirements
- 18 months of professional experience in a sales role with contract closures.
- Experience in independently closing new contracts with an annual revenue of more than 10,000.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving targets.
- Experience in sales for mid-sized to large contracts.
- Experience with large-scale cold calling.
