Job Description
The Manufacturing Design Engineering Intern at Samsara will assist in the design and development of innovative manufacturing processes, gaining hands-on experience while collaborating with experienced engineers on real-world projects in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in cross-functional teams to assist in process improvement projects.
- Assist in the design and evaluation of manufacturing systems, equipment, and processes.
- Document procedures, instructions, and guidelines related to manufacturing processes.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement.
- Aid in the development and implementation of manufacturing procedures and standard operating processes.
- Partner with Quality Engineering to reduce product defects.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a graduation date in 2026.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Compensation/salary range: 29.18 - 49.04 USD per hour
Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
