Job Description
The Sales Engineering Manager at Samsara will lead and develop a high-performing sales engineering team focused on the EMEA Select business, collaborating with various stakeholders to demonstrate the value of Samsara's IoT platform to major customers while managing team performance and customer engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, develop and lead a high performing Sales Engineering team
- Manage individual and team performance in collaboration with sales, product, support, and customer success teams
- Work with Account Executives and Regional Sales Directors on account planning and strategy
- Manage escalations related to product issues and feature requests in a pre-sales environment
- Participate in customer prospect calls as a trusted advisor
- Partner with other Sales Engineering leaders to improve the Sales Engineering organization
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or similar.
- 3 years of sales engineering management experience.
- Experience with Software Product sales Infrastructure, SaaS.
- Knowledge in one or more of these areas of expertise: IoT, Networking Security, SaaS, Cloud Technologies, or Physical Security.
- Strong technical and business acumen.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to partner with a broad coalition of stakeholders, ranging from sales, product, marketing, support, customer success and from individual contributors to executive team members across the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills.
- Business fluency in French or German.
- Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time.
