Job Description
The Inside Sales Manager at Samsara leads and develops a team of account executives, focusing on selling IoT solutions to small and mid-sized organizations across various industries, with an emphasis on building customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of account executives in sales strategy, pipeline management, and achieving targets
- Hire, onboard, and coach new and existing account executives for growth and success
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and manage projects
- Create training content and support professional development for the sales team
- Provide tactical feedback and coaching to account executives
- Embed and promote company cultural principles within the team
- Focus on customer success and building long-term relationships
- Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers and products
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years sales experience with proven performance owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close
- 1-2 years preferred experience managing a team
- Experience selling full-cycle sales
- Strong track record of overachievement with experience in coaching a team on outbounding
- Understanding of complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time-frames
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable with public speaking
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills
- Self-starter and adaptable to change
- Continued growth mindset to learn a unique industry
- Proficient in data driven decision making
- Ability to provide upwards feedback
- Familiarity with SFDC (Salesforce.com)
- Ability to hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team
- Experience coaching a team on sales strategy, pipeline reviews, and achieving quarterly targets
- Experience creating content for ongoing training and development
- Experience supporting account executives through professional development plans
- Ability to work cross-functionally to strategically solve problems and project manage
- Ability to build genuine relationships with customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Physical and mental ability to perform the duties of the role (implied by the nature of sales and team management responsibilities)

Annual on-target earnings (OTE) range of $169,120 to $241,600 USD depending on location
