Job Description
The job involves designing high-temperature air ducting for Rondo Heat Batteries, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure effective and integrated solutions, and maintaining high design quality standards. The role requires significant experience in duct design and relevant engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Specify and design high-temperature air ducting for RHB heat batteries
- Ensure effective and well-integrated ducting solutions with the Rondo team
- Collaborate with internal analysis and simulation team to meet system performance requirements
- Work with structural engineering team to meet structural requirements
- Review and approve design concepts, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate project schedule requirements with Procurement and Construction partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10 years of experience in high-temperature, low pressure duct design.
- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SolidWorks, etc.
- Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, construction methodologies, and project management practices.
- Strong understanding of the design of ducts, louvers, vents, and general air handling methods in high temperature environments.
- Strong understanding of duct insulating materials and methods, including refractory and rock wool.
- This role necessitates being on-site at our Alameda HQ 3 times per week.
