Job Description
The Sr. R D Technician will contribute to scaling innovative graphite production technology from laboratory research to commercial manufacturing, supporting advanced energy and manufacturing supply chains through rigorous scientific work and technical ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development to scale graphite technology from lab to commercial production.
- Develop and optimize processes for high-performance graphite manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve material quality and process efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in research and development (R&D) laboratory or technical environment related to advanced materials, specifically graphite or similar materials.
- Ability to perform laboratory experiments, process development, and scale-up activities related to graphite or advanced materials production.
- Strong understanding of materials characterization techniques and equipment used in advanced materials research.
- Experience with process troubleshooting, optimization, and quality control in a laboratory or production setting.
- Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a technically ambitious environment.
- Effective communication skills to document experiments, results, and procedures clearly and accurately.
- Educational background in a relevant technical field such as Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
- Physical ability to perform laboratory tasks, including handling materials, operating equipment, and working in a laboratory environment.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, startup environment that values rigorous science and rapid execution.
