Key Responsibilities
- You might start your day organizing a field sampling effort for a complex site assessment, coordinating with regulatory agencies, or mentoring junior staff on SOPs and safety protocols. In the field, you’ll collect environmental data, troubleshoot logistics, and ensure everything from groundwater measurements to sediment samples is performed to spec.
- Back in the office, you’ll analyze large datasets, review lab results, and translate complex findings into clear, accurate technical reports. You’ll work closely with interdisciplinary teams and support project managers to ensure deliverables are not only completed on time—but are thoughtful, thorough, and compliant with regional regulatory requirements. This will be a project manager role. You would be expected to complete the RES project manager program as part of your employment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional experience (or 5+ years with an advanced degree)
- Advanced experience in environmental site assessment and/or groundwater/soil remediation
- Proficient in field sampling procedures and data collection techniques
- Experience managing large datasets and analyzing complex environmental data
- Familiarity with regional regulatory requirements and agency SOPs
- Strong technical report writing skills
- Experience mentoring junior scientists and leading field teams
- Experience with the FDEP PRP program
