You’ll start the day by reviewing the construction plan and loading or mobilizing your assigned equipment. You’ll operate a range of tools and machines—like tractors, skid steers, or brush cutters—while setting grades and installing features according to site plans.
You’ll complete equipment checks, report any maintenance needs, and help ensure site safety protocols are followed. You may also support in training newer crew members in safe practices and help relay instructions from your supervisor to the broader team.
Throughout the day, you’ll monitor your work against project specifications, communicate with team members, and perform physically demanding tasks in various terrain and weather.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
• 2+ years of construction experience
• 1+ year of experience operating construction equipment
• Strong familiarity with safety practices and PPE
• Experience setting grades with smooth transitions and low tolerances (within 0.2 ft)
• Ability to read project plans and implement them in the field
• Basic experience with GPS and grading tools
