Job Description
The Spares Technician at Redwood Materials is responsible for managing the inventory of spare parts and equipment to support production efficiency, including organizing, stocking, and transporting materials, as well as assisting maintenance and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up and identify delivered spare parts
- Transaction of parts into and out of the inventory system
- Perform data entry tasks for CSP updates and receipts in ERP
- Develop a space plan for all spares inventory
- Organize and stock parts in the warehouse
- Create virtual and physical locations and labels for bins
- Transport materials between warehouses as needed
- Interface with customers searching for parts
- Deliver spare parts for maintenance and engineering teams
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory
- Execute instructions from the Maintenance Planner for spare parts
- Accurately count and organize materials
- Identify and correct discrepancies in inventory
- Communicate daily progress on processed and stored mail
- Drive continuous process improvements
Requirements
- Experience with material handling equipment and inventory systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Experience in warehousing.
- Ability to execute against provided instructions from the Maintenance Planner to accurately identify and kit spare parts for planned downtimes and PMs.
- Ability to accurately count and organize materials.
- Ability to identify discrepancies in inventory and correct them.
- Ability to communicate daily progress for processed and stored mail.
