Job Description
The Senior Construction Project Engineer at Redwood Materials will oversee construction projects related to the sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries, managing schedules, budgets, and compliance with specifications while collaborating with various teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage specific scopes of construction including scheduling of trade contractors and vendor tool installations.
- Perform daily inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings and project data for quality compliance.
- Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track project performance.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, and schedules for assigned scopes.
- Document daily activities and notify team of significant schedule changes.
- Review and approve daily timecards for construction crews.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist estimating team with project schedules and provide technical input.
- Coordinate subcontractor work methods and schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
- 2 years of construction engineering, scheduling or design experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of cost coding, cost savings, budget and other project related financial implications required.
- Intermediate knowledge of scheduling processes and industry best practices required.
- Knowledge of construction equipment techniques, drawing specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project required.
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment required.
- Skill in verbal and written communication needed.
