Job Description

An IT OT Support Technician responsible for providing technical support for end-user devices, manufacturing equipment, and enterprise systems across multiple facilities, ensuring smooth operations and supporting IT projects in a fast-growing, sustainability-focused company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for end-user devices, software, accounts, and workflows across multiple facilities and remote locations
  • Manage enterprise endpoint devices including laptops, desktops, and mobile systems
  • Support manufacturing equipment such as SCADA devices, HMIs, process cameras, printers, and barcode scanners
  • Provision, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android systems and devices
  • Troubleshoot, document, and resolve support issues, escalating tickets as needed
  • Utilize IT helpdesk systems for issue intake, documentation, and escalation
  • Configure and define IT services using technologies like Active Directory, Group Policies, and endpoint management tools
  • Lead enterprise IT projects including construction, equipment moves, and new technology implementations
  • Serve as a knowledge lead for enterprise best practices and operational workflows

Requirements

  • Provide support for end-user devices, software, accounts, and workflows in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.
  • Work with and receive ticket escalation from peers on the support team, utilizing the IT helpdesk ticketing system for issue intake, documentation, and escalation to other support teams.
  • Support employees and devices on-site at multiple facilities, including mobile and remote employees who are national and international in a mix of business and industrial settings.
  • Occasionally use a personal vehicle and participate in national and international travel as required.
  • Support enterprise endpoint devices including laptops and desktops, and manage domain accounts and software support.
  • Support and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) devices, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), process cameras, label printers, and barcode scanners.
  • Provision, maintain, and support Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android based systems and devices.
  • Assist with manufacturing support and process development support.
  • Troubleshoot, document, and resolve support issues and processes thoroughly.
  • Escalate trouble tickets to other support teams when necessary.
  • Utilize the IT Knowledge Base system to define and promote best practices and procedures within the Redwood enterprise IT environment.
  • Serve as knowledge lead for enterprise best practices on operational workflows and processes utilizing technology.
  • Lead enterprise projects involving IT, including construction, equipment moves, and new technology implementations.
  • Configure and define IT services utilizing technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, Microsoft Entra, inventory and warehouse systems, mobile device management, and endpoint management.
  • Support and maintain systems supporting manufacturing and enterprise operations.
  • Support HMIs, label printers, scanners, and other process support equipment as part of enterprise IT support.
  • Possess at least 1 year of experience in an enterprise IT support-related role supporting HMIs, label printers, scanners, and process support equipment.
  • Have experience with IT Desktop Support, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, attitude, and self-motivation.
  • Be willing to learn and grow along with the company.
  • Be physically capable of sitting, standing, crawling, crouching, walking, climbing a ladder, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and using a computer mouse and keyboard.
  • Be able to look at a computer monitor and speak and hear verbal communication.
  • Work primarily in an office environment with occasional ventures into hazardous industrial construction areas with heavy machinery, potential chemical and metal temperature exposure, outdoor construction areas with heavy machinery and dust.
  • Participate in support team on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  • Be available for occasional domestic and international travel.
