Job Description

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting warehouse operations, leading cycle counts and audits, training staff, and ensuring safety and quality standards to improve operational efficiency and inventory integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy
  • Coordinate task distribution among warehouse staff and support daily operations
  • Train and support material handlers in inventory control and data activities
  • Monitor WMS data, generate reports, and support decision-making
  • Investigate inventory variances and conduct root cause analysis
  • Maintain inventory documentation, records, and compliance with quality standards
  • Perform physical material handling tasks, including occasional forklift operation
  • Support safety initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience operating a forklift or other pit equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude under pressure
  • Ability to use a PAPR respiratory device on occasion
  • Experience with Oracle Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Tableau preferred
