System Engineer

• Provide holistic systems engineering and architecture services to support and evolve the FBI’s IT infrastructure. • Design and document complex virtual and physical architectures, maintaining up-to-date system diagrams and technical documentation. • Perform growth analysis for diverse functional areas to predict future infrastructure needs and prevent performance bottlenecks. • Ensure a high-availability environment with a mandated system uptime of 99.9% for critical mission services. • Provide Tier 4 technical support, serving as the final escalation point for the most complex system outages and performance issues. • Perform hardware and software audits to ensure system integrity, security compliance, and licensing accuracy. • Manage system sustainment activities, including robust backup operations and database archiving.

• Current SAFe Agilist (SA) certification. • Experience using Splunk for system health monitoring, dashboard creation, and log analysis. • Hands-on experience with BigFix for endpoint management and software deployment. • Familiarity with the Technical Change Control Board (TCCB) processes and configuration management. • Experience with advanced network virtualization and software-defined networking.
