Job Description
The position involves providing expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering to support U.S. government intelligence and security missions, focusing on transforming legacy processes and turning complex AI and data concepts into actionable outcomes within a fast-paced, problem-solving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, governance, and operationalization of AI and data capabilities within the Defense Intelligence and Defense Security Enterprise.
- Engage with senior leaders to translate complex AI and data concepts into actionable, mission-relevant outcomes.
- Disrupt legacy processes through innovative data and AI solutions in a fast-paced, problem-driven environment.
Requirements
- Support the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW I S) Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO) in a fast-paced, problem-driven environment focused on disrupting legacy processes and transforming how intelligence and data capabilities are developed, governed, and operationalized across the Defense Intelligence and Defense Security Enterprise (DISE).
- Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy continuous intellectual challenge, actively engaging senior leaders to turn complex AI and data concepts into actionable, mission-relevant outcomes.
- Possess a high level of expertise as an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Support the development, governance, and operationalization of AI and data capabilities within the DISE enterprise.
- Demonstrate experience in transforming legacy processes related to data and AI capabilities in a government or defense environment.
- Have the ability to communicate complex AI and data concepts clearly and effectively to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Be capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on mission-critical outcomes.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of data engineering principles and AI technologies relevant to defense and intelligence operations.
