Job Description
The Engineering Manager at Reactivate will lead the engineering team in the development and execution of commercial and utility-scale solar projects, overseeing technical design, engineering, procurement, and construction processes while managing team performance and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team in the development and execution of commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
- Conduct performance assessments and promote individual growth within the team.
- Analyze site parameters and customer loads for optimal system sizing and configuration.
- Lead the creation of permit construction drawing sets that meet codes and client standards.
- Manage relationships with third-party engineering firms to ensure quality deliverables.
- Provide technical supervision to contractors during system installations.
- Review detailed engineering design packages for compliance with technical specifications.
- Compile project closeout materials including as-built drawings and operations manuals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil)
- 7 years of experience in engineering in the renewables industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership management role
- Expertise in solar plant equipment, including PV modules, racking systems, inverters, and electrical balance of plants
- Expertise in NEC codes
- NABCEP, PV Installation Professional Certification required
- Experience reviewing civil, structural, or electrical engineering design packages
- Proficiency with PVSyst, System Advisory Model (SAM) programs, AutoCAD, PVcase, ArcGIS, Helioscope, and Aurora Solar required
- Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Travel required up to 40%
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
