Job Description
The role involves leading value management initiatives by developing business cases, quantifying economic impact, and creating compelling value propositions for customers, primarily within the data storage and infrastructure industry. It requires analytical, strategic, and consultative skills to translate technical insights into financial and business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead value workstreams and develop customer business cases to quantify economic impact of data platform solutions
- Create and present customer value propositions based on cost savings, operational improvements, and business outcomes
- Own and maintain financial models and business cases throughout the engagement lifecycle
- Conduct structured discovery with customer stakeholders to gather data and refine value hypotheses
- Lead the financial value workstream, managing modeling steps, stakeholder coordination, and project discipline
- Develop and validate data-driven insights to support commercial strategies and pricing models
Requirements
- Experience in financial analysis, consulting, IT, or related fields with strong analytical capability and numerical literacy.
- Proficiency in building financial models in Google Sheets, Excel, or similar tools, including validating datasets, making justified assumptions, managing data integrity, and documenting models clearly.
- Clear, effective communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders, including comfort engaging directly with customer teams across IT, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Executive levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and operate effectively under pressure, demonstrating professional discipline in assumption tracking, governance, accuracy, and model consistency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience with strong financial foundations.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure or willingness and aptitude to learn it quickly.
- Experience with value quantification, ROI tools, or economic modelling frameworks.
