Job Description
The role involves analyzing customer business cases and IT stacks to develop value propositions, business cases, and proposals that demonstrate the financial and strategic benefits of Pure Storage's solutions, primarily supporting pre-sales efforts and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer business cases and IT stacks to develop client value propositions.
- Create persona-specific value assessments quantifying impact on key value levers.
- Collaborate with clients to validate and iterate value assessments, aligning on measurable outcomes.
- Develop and maintain client business cases in cash flow and P&L formats throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
- Position and validate business cases with stakeholders, supporting economic propositions and pricing discussions.
- Contribute to writing and presenting client value propositions and proposals, highlighting overall value and financial benefits.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of experience in management consulting, value consulting, value engineering, financial investment analysis, or other applicable roles
- Experience working at a large consulting firm or a financial services company, and preferably also at a technology vendor in a pre-sales financial analysis role
- Knowledge of financial analysis and research techniques using sources such as blogs, Hoovers, Ovum, Factiva, Gartner, Forrester, etc.
- Ability to write detailed content summarizing customer content, value, and insights in executive language
- Deep financial analysis and modeling skills of ROI and TCO concepts to justify business cases, including demonstrated practical use of IRR, NPV, and Payback period
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, especially sales engineers and account teams
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value
- Familiarity with tools to enhance, automate, and simplify the process of delivering data insights
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to present qualitative and quantitative business cases
- Self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to customer success
- Master's Degree with a financial background
- Ability to develop persona-specific, outside-in value assessments that quantify impact across key value levers such as cost efficiency, revenue growth or protection, sustainability, and risk reduction
- Ability to produce and maintain client business cases in cash flow and P&L formats throughout the opportunity lifecycle
- Ability to position and validate business cases with client stakeholders and support pricing discussions
- Ability to standardize business cases around common inputs and outputs to create repeatable financial models
- Willingness to work primarily in-office at the Bangalore location in compliance with company policies
