Job Description
The role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale customer deployments of cloud-native storage solutions, collaborating with engineering teams to develop and optimize features, and ensuring customer success through technical expertise and proactive communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and support large-scale customer deployments in public and private clouds.
- Provide technical expertise during all phases of Portworx deployment for key customers.
- Own and track customer issues using ticket tracking systems and resolve support cases across severity levels.
- Collaborate with customers and partners to troubleshoot deployments, application workflows, and workloads.
- Work with engineering teams to analyze logs, reproduce issues, and develop solutions.
- Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer success.
- Participate in pre-sales, customer installation, and production support activities.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available services for hybrid deployments.
- Invent and optimize algorithms for multi-array and multi-cloud storage systems to enhance resiliency and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver new features and improve data management solutions.
- Drive technical strategy, influence architecture, and ensure operational excellence.
- Own features from concept to production, ensuring observability and efficiency.
- Mentor engineers, promote code quality, and foster a culture of innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and/or related technical experience.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in customer-facing, technical support work or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, VMware container solutions.
- Proven ability to resolve customer problems and escalations utilizing appropriate internal and external resources.
- Ability to triage issues and escalate them to appropriate engineering groups as necessary.
- Fluent in English with clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, self-starter who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do the right thing to help the customer succeed.
- Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.
- Must be willing to work shifts and on-call rotations.
- Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale customer deployments in public and private clouds.
- Providing technical expertise during all phases of deployment for key customers.

- Working with customers and partners to understand and troubleshoot their deployments, application workflows, and workloads through multiple layers of the software stack.
- Working with engineering teams to analyze logs, reproduce customer issues, and develop strategies to address them.
- Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available services that power control plane and data services across hybrid deployments.
- Inventing and optimizing algorithms to orchestrate multi-array and multi-cloud storage systems, achieving industry-leading resiliency and performance.
- Collaborating with engineers in multiple locations (Silicon Valley, Prague, Bengaluru) to deliver features that improve data management.
- Driving technical strategy by influencing architecture, system design, and best practices.
- Solving complex distributed systems challenges with creativity, persistence, and deep technical insight.
- Owning features from concept to production, ensuring observability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Mentoring engineers, championing code quality, and fostering a culture of innovation and technical rigor.
- Experience or working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or other related cloud technologies.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform is a plus.
- Possession of a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is a plus.
