Job Description
The Technical Program Manager for the FlashArray team is responsible for leading cross-functional engineering projects, managing software releases, coordinating program objectives, and driving process improvements to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and deploy software releases.
- Manage and coordinate software release schedules, processes, and documentation.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to software releases and technical systems.
- Improve release management processes and tools for increased efficiency and quality.
- Make trade-offs and decisions to ensure timely delivery of program objectives.
- Track program goals, communicate progress to stakeholders, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Resolve obstacles and teamwork issues across teams to ensure successful program delivery.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager
- MS in computer science, MBA, or engineering management equivalent preferred
- Experience managing software releases with predictable and frequent cadence
- Proven expertise in managing projects throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including investigation, design, execution, and delivering products to market on schedule, and addressing customer feedback in development
- Solid project and technical judgment with the ability to influence a growing organization
- Ownership of product experience, quality, and metrics
- Solid knowledge of end-to-end best practices in software development and release management
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical, cross-functional groups
- Ability to work in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with company policies
