Job Description
This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native microservices for enterprise data storage products, with a focus on quality, scalability, and innovation in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud native microservices and integrate new features into Portworx products
- Perform design, development, testing, code reviews, documentation, and deployment of software
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to take solutions from initial design to production
- Own the design and development process, incorporating customer feedback and resolving issues
- Experiment with new technologies to innovate and improve solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 8 years of experience in designing, development, and testing of enterprise products
- Experience in designing and owning microservices to operate and scale in a distributed system architecture that scales to thousands of nodes
- Good understanding of microservice architectures and cloud native platforms
- Expert debugging skills and ability to navigate through ambiguous problems at scale in public and private cloud environments
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including product management and customer beta partners, in designing highly scalable and production-quality software
- Proven design sensibility and willingness to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Solid computer science background in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Willing and able to work in an open office environment at the Santa Clara location in accordance with company policies
