Job Description
The role involves supporting the commercial sales team at Pure Storage as a technical sales advisor, demonstrating the technical benefits of storage solutions to prospects and customers, and assisting with product demonstrations, configurations, and technical inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial sales team as a technical sales advisor.
- Assist prospects and customers with demonstrations and system configurations.
- Remove technical barriers in the sales process through opportunity qualification and product demonstrations.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product applications, pricing, and ongoing projects.
- Demonstrate technical leadership and expertise on storage products and architectures.
- Provide technical knowledge to Account Executives for positioning Pure Storage solutions.
- Conduct continuous ad-hoc training for individuals and groups.
- Utilize established programs and sizing tools to provide product performance solutions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Support, Professional Services, and Product Management.
- Prepare and deliver technical product and architecture presentations.
- Contribute to and lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
Requirements
- Demonstrated communication and product presentation skills.
- Fluency in English with confident, articulate and professional speaking abilities, and a strong ability to listen.
- 2 years of experience in the technology industry preferred.
- Knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, and SAN.
- Knowledge of VMware, Windows, UNIX OS variants (Linux, AIX), NFS file systems, and network environments.
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in real-time scenarios.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and proactively, while applying a high level of business and technical acumen to a variety of situations.
