Job Description
The Software Engineer Grad role at Pure Storage involves solving complex data management problems through research and development, focusing on optimizing storage solutions and enhancing user interfaces. Candidates will work with various technologies and are expected to have a foundational understanding of computer science principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve real problems related to data management and infrastructure.
- Research and develop solutions for finding duplicate data and reclaiming overwritten space.
- Implement efficient replication across wide-area networks.
- Analyze health data from customer storage arrays.
- Optimize application performance from application to SSD.
- Develop scalable code for multi-core processing.
- Create user interfaces and tools for rapid feature deployment.
- Conduct extensive automated testing before and after code check-ins.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025 or less than 1 year of professional experience.
- Proficiency in C required.
- Strong understanding of foundational CS concepts, including data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and design principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to deliver high-quality results and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- This is an office-centric role, and you are expected to be present on-site in Santa Clara.

Annual base salary range: 116,000 - 175,000
Full-time start dates available in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2025
