Job Description
The role involves architecting and developing highly distributed, performant, and scalable backend systems for a new AI infrastructure platform, focusing on data organization and integration with existing AI/ML tools. Candidates will collaborate with engineers, mentor junior staff, and drive technical excellence in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- •Architect and develop highly distributed, performant, and scalable backend systems.
- •Design robust data models and implement efficient database schemas with a focus on versioning, migrations, and lifecycle management.
- •Work on large-scale AI workflows, ensuring integration with existing AI ML tooling.
- •Collaborate with user experience engineers to define product vision and user interactions.
- •Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for technical excellence.
- •Optimize system performance and reliability for enterprise AI workloads.
Requirements
- •8 years of backend engineering experience with a focus on high-scale, distributed systems.
- •Deep expertise in Python, Go, C, C++, or Rust for backend development.
- •Strong understanding of database design, indexing, schema migration, and versioning.
- •Experience in PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL or similar database technologies.
- •Experience working with message queues, event-driven architectures, and streaming data processing.
- •Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native development (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- •Ability to work end-to-end, from system design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- •Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action and ownership.
- •Willingness to work from the Santa Clara, California office in compliance with Pure's policies.
