Job Description
The role involves leading and transforming the global collections and cash flow management functions within a fast-paced, technology-driven company, focusing on automation, strategic financial planning, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize financial operations and support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing collections team to ensure timely resolution of overdue balances and dispute management.
- Partner with IT and Finance to migrate manual workflows to automated, AI-based solutions for collections processes.
- Own and manage monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasting, monitor DSO trends, and provide insights to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Revenue, Billing, Sales, Tax, Credit, Accounting, IT) to resolve complex billing and payment issues.
- Maintain and optimize global collections policies and SOX controls to ensure compliance and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead and mentor large-scale Finance or Accounts Receivable (AR) teams within a fast-paced, global technology or SaaS environment, with a focus on professional development and team upskilling.
- High proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite and a track record of successfully implementing automation tools, RPA, or AI-driven analytics to replace manual financial processes.
- Exceptional fluency in spoken and written English, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external partners, effectively managing high-stakes escalations and complex financial negotiations.
- A data-driven approach to collections management, with the ability to translate aging reports and DSO metrics into clear strategies for bad debt mitigation and operational improvement.
- Flexibility to collaborate across time zones including alignment with California-based headquarters and the ability to work independently to drive results in a high-growth, multi-currency environment.
- Experience owning and managing the monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasting process and monitoring DSO trends, providing executive leadership with actionable insights and performance metrics.
- Ability to maintain and optimize global collections policies and SOX controls, ensuring all activities meet internal audit requirements.
- Familiarity with automation tools and AR analytics platforms.
- Experience implementing or managing RPA or workflow tools in AR Collections.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., BS or BA).
