Job Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, performing account reconciliations, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
  • Maintain and update supporting documentation for all journal entries.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of financial data.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems.
  • Work cross-functionally with FP&A and other Business Partners to resolve financial issues.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support the Accounting Manager and other departments.
  • Assist with day-to-day accounting functions including purchase requisition review and approval.
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules supporting financial reports and presentations for management.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives to support the finance department's goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience in multinational public companies.
  • Experienced with ERP system, preferably Netsuite or SAP.
  • Able to perform independent research in Netsuite, SAP, Tableau, and other systems.
  • Have a working knowledge on accrual, US GAAP concept, Sarbanes-Oxley Act and be able to conduct independent research on guidance as needed.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables.
  • Effective communication and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
