Job Description
A leadership role overseeing the security engineering team responsible for developing and implementing security features and strategies for Pure Storage's flagship data platform, ensuring a robust security posture while driving product innovation and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a software security team to develop and deliver security features for the FlashArray platform.
- Establish and execute a product security strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance on security-related features and challenges.
- Manage team performance, coaching, mentorship, and hiring to foster technical excellence.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with management, development teams, and stakeholders to communicate risks and influence security strategy.
Requirements
- Proven success in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing software engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Demonstrated ability to establish operational objectives and work plans, delegate assignments, and drive execution for complex, multi-team projects.
- Deep technical background in systems software development with experience in programming languages such as C, C++, or Java, and a strong understanding of security and architectural details.
- Ability to analyze complex situations or data that require in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and apply independent judgment to select effective methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior management and executive stakeholders, especially in sensitive situations.
- Willingness and ability to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara, CA office, in compliance with company policies.
