Job Description
The role involves leading the development and execution of global product strategy for hybrid cloud and virtualization technologies, driving business growth, market positioning, and innovation within a high-impact, strategic leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and define the global product strategy for hybrid cloud and virtualization technologies.
- Manage P&L, establish business metrics, OKRs, and drive growth targets for the product portfolio.
- Develop multi-year product and market strategies aligned with on-premises, hybrid, and cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish scope and goals for growth initiatives.
- Conduct market, competitive, and customer analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company in technical and business presentations.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and field teams to execute go-to-market strategies and ensure customer adoption.
Requirements
- Recognized expertise in hybrid infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and or modern container Kubernetes ecosystems, with a track record of successfully leveraging this knowledge to define and launch high-impact products.
- Demonstrated ability to transition from technical expertise to business strategy, including managing P L health, setting business growth targets, and driving operational excellence for a multi-million to billion-dollar product line.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with a history of successfully influencing executive-level management, major customers, and key internal and external stakeholders regarding matters of critical significance.
- Proven ability to work independently, exercising wide latitude and independent judgment to develop resolutions to critical business issues and broad design matters.
- Ability to own and define the global product strategy for a billion-dollar business segment, including establishing and driving key business metrics, OKRs, and growth targets in partnership with Business Unit leadership and Finance.
- Experience in developing multi-year product and market strategies to build high-growth businesses across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud deployments, ensuring technical and business alignment with key ecosystem partners.
- Experience in influencing and collaborating with the Executive Team to establish scope and goals for major growth initiatives, providing program leadership and serving as the primary subject matter expert across the company.
- Ability to conduct in-depth market, competitive, and customer-centric analysis, accurately predicting trends.
- Experience serving as the key spokesperson for a company, delivering compelling business and technical presentations to executive audiences, customers, and partners globally.
- Ability to act as the strategic quarterback for go-to-market (GTM) execution, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Field teams to define and drive use-case-centric models and ensure high customer adoption and retention.
- Location in Santa Clara, CA, with the ability to work primarily in-office in compliance with company policies.
- Educational background or equivalent experience demonstrating deep subject matter expertise in hybrid infrastructure, virtualization, and modern container ecosystems.
