Job Description
A Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer responsible for designing and promoting enterprise storage solutions to support digital transformation for government and enterprise clients, working closely with sales teams to deliver technical expertise and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and deploy secure, simplified, and sustainable data storage solutions for enterprise and public sector clients.
- Understand customer business needs and translate them into technical solutions using Pure Storage and ecosystem products.
- Collaborate with sales teams and partners to create strategies that drive revenue growth and new business opportunities.
- Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations to demonstrate product capabilities.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs to secure technical wins.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation of solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to promote thought leadership.
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience is required
- Minimum of 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions
- Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts
- Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP cloud platforms
- Installation and configuration experience of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (K8s), and Microservices architectures
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, Microservices architecture
- Curiosity and passion for technology and explaining new technology platforms and concepts to customers
- Ability to work from the Dubai office in compliance with company policies
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases (SQL, Oracle) is highly desirable
