Job Description
The Performance Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing the global performance management system, including goal setting, reviews, and coaching processes, to drive organizational alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end execution of global performance management cycles, including goal setting, check-ins, career conversations, and reviews.
- Develop and refine performance management methodologies, evaluation criteria, and scalable frameworks aligned with organizational priorities.
- Ensure data accuracy, configuration, and user experience within the Workday Performance Management system as the subject matter expert.
- Monitor program logistics, track adoption and compliance, troubleshoot system issues, and generate operational reports.
- Partner with Learning and Development teams to support training and communication efforts on feedback, coaching, and performance conversations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on talent initiatives such as leadership development and succession planning.
- Contribute to the development of policies, frameworks, and best practices for performance management.
- Drive transformational HR program changes through influence, data insights, and cross-functional partnerships.
Requirements
- Proven ability to strategically design, implement, and operate global cycles for Performance Management within a fast-paced, complex organization.
- Deep expertise in Performance Management, including experience in developing, executing, and managing performance review processes such as goal setting, mid-year check-ins, career conversations, and annual reviews.
- Experience in developing scalable frameworks and driving operational excellence across performance management processes.
- Ability to develop and refine performance management methodologies and evaluation criteria, applying independent judgment to adapt and evolve processes based on business needs and data insights.
- Experience in benchmarking and integrating emerging external best practices to ensure performance management approaches remain modern, fair, and data-driven.
- Subject matter expertise (SME) and experience in configuring, maintaining, and ensuring data accuracy within HRIS systems, specifically Workday Performance Management modules.
- Experience in monitoring completion rates, troubleshooting system issues, and running operational reports and variance analyses to track adoption and compliance of performance management programs.
- Ability to partner closely with Learning Development teams to support, reinforce, and amplify training and communication efforts related to feedback, coaching, and performance conversations.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Talent Transformation, HR Business Partners, HRIT, and HR Operations to advance enterprise talent strategies including leadership development and succession planning.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, concise communications, toolkits, and training materials for diverse audiences including employees, managers, and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in driving significant, transformational HR program changes across a global organization, relying on influence, data-driven insights, and cross-functional partnership.
- Strategic systems thinking capability to balance big-picture program design with rigorous, hands-on execution, ensuring solutions are scalable and integrated with HR technology like Workday.
- Creative perspective on performance management with an advanced understanding of modern talent best practices and the ability to think beyond them.
- Experience in contributing to the development of new policies, frameworks, and best practices for performance management, ensuring alignment with evolving business strategy and culture.
- Exceptional communication and content design skills to create clear, effective communications, toolkits, and training materials for various audiences.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in performance management, HR program management, or related roles in a global, fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
