Job Description
The Materials Program Manager will oversee the supply chain and material activities for new product introductions, ensuring readiness, risk mitigation, cost management, and smooth transition to mass production in a fast-paced, innovative tech environment.
Responsibilities
- •Drive material and supply chain readiness for NPI builds from concept to production handoff
- •Ensure material clear to build for proto and early production ramp up, coordinating with stakeholders to mitigate risks and address shortages
- •Collaborate with program management to report weekly product updates
- •Influence sourcing decisions based on total cost, quality, and performance factors
- •Manage and communicate material risks and trade-offs during new product development
- •Conduct BOM risk analysis and escalate sourcing issues such as obsolescence and long lead times
- •Validate and optimize NPI COGS, review quotes, and track changes
- •Manage transition of NPI materials to mass production and support PO processes for NPI builds
- •Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related Operations discipline.
- •Minimum 5 years of materials, logistics and/or planning experience, including with MRP systems, preferably with a contract manufacturer, in an electronics-based industry.
- •Strong analytical skills with accurate attention to detail, drive data-based decisions.
- •Soft skills to appropriately influence and build trust with cross functional team members.
- •Track record of taking end-to-end ownership, solving problems and successfully delivering results and has an unrelenting tenacity to get things done.
- •Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
