The Senior Staff Engineer will design and lead the development of scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems for telemetry ingestion and observability, ensuring the reliability and performance of a global storage infrastructure through innovative architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architect scalable, fault-tolerant systems for telemetry ingestion and real-time event detection
Lead the technical strategy for high-throughput observability systems and cross-team architectural initiatives
Own the development and deployment of predictive fault algorithms and high-impact services
Collaborate with Data Engineering and Support teams to define APIs and data models for system diagnostics
Provide technical mentorship and design leadership to foster a high-performance engineering culture
Requirements
Proven experience with expert-level proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java, with a track record of building large-scale distributed systems, message queues like Kafka, or stream processing frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-team technical initiatives, making principled trade-offs between performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Deep understanding of telemetry pipelines, log analytics, or cloud-native architectures on platforms such as AWS or GCP, used to drive automated insights from high-throughput data streams.
Ability to articulate a clear technical vision to both engineering peers and product leadership, translating business requirements into scalable software solutions.
Work from the Bengaluru, India office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
