Job Description
The Platform Build Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and optimizing multi-platform CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery speed and reliability, working closely with global engineering teams to enhance build and release processes using modern tools and scripting languages.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize multi-platform automated build and release pipelines using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Reduce build and test times through caching, parallelization, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
- Establish and enforce best practices for version control, dependency management, and artifact management to ensure software reproducibility and traceability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across build, packaging, and deployment workflows using scripting and configuration management
- Integrate monitoring and observability tools to proactively identify bottlenecks and ensure system reliability and performance
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end CI CD pipelines, specifically with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Exceptional proficiency with a variety of modern build systems such as Maven, Gradle, Bazel, and CMake, including advanced Git features like complex branching strategies and submodules.
- Strong practical skills in multiple scripting and automation languages, such as GoLang, Python, Bash, or Groovy, applied to infrastructure and workflow automation.
- Proven ability to work with and optimize environments using containers Docker and container orchestration Kubernetes for reproducible builds and deployment.
- Expertise in artifact management tools such as Nexus and Artifactory, and a solid understanding of configuration management principles.
- Experience in establishing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues across the entire build, packaging, and deployment workflow.
- Ability to drive down build and test times through strategic use of caching, parallelization, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in designing, automating, and optimizing multi-platform CI CD pipelines to improve product reliability and speed to market.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with global engineering teams to deliver a world-class build and release environment.
- In-office work from the Bengaluru office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
