Job Description
The role involves designing and implementing distributed storage systems and core services that unify data across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, focusing on high performance, resilience, and scalability to transform data management infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement highly available, secure control and data plane services for the unified storage platform.
- Design and optimize distributed algorithms and orchestration logic for data resiliency, performance, and efficiency across multi-cloud environments.
- Manage the feature lifecycle from concept and system design to deployment, ensuring operational excellence and large-scale system efficiency.
- Drive technical strategy, establish best practices, and mentor engineering teams to maintain high standards in code quality and continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to develop features that enhance customer data management infrastructure.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in the design, implementation, and optimization of large-scale, highly distributed, and fault-tolerant systems software.
- Proficiency in systems programming with languages like Go, Java, or C, and a strong command of data structures and concurrent programming paradigms.
- Specialized knowledge in one or more critical areas such as networking, distributed data protection, operating systems internals, container orchestration like Kubernetes, or cloud-native services.
- Proven ability to drive complex technical projects, influence architecture decisions, and demonstrate a strong leadership presence within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Work from the OFFICE_LOCATION office in compliance with Pure Storage policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
