Job Description
A senior software engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance storage testing tools for block, file, and object storage systems, with a focus on improving product reliability and developer efficiency through innovative solutions and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement core IO tools and infrastructure for block, file, and object storage testing.
- Lead the technical strategy to modernize legacy testing tools into unified, maintainable solutions.
- Improve test coverage and developer efficiency by identifying tooling gaps and delivering high-impact solutions.
- Provide technical leadership through hands-on development, design, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tools meet evolving requirements and facilitate rapid diagnosis of storage failures.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in related systems software projects, such as Distributed Systems, Operating Systems internals (e.g., Linux Kernel), Storage Systems, or Hypervisors.
- Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python, with hands-on experience in performance benchmarking, scalable tool development, and test automation.
- Demonstrated ability to independently own and drive complex, cross-domain technical projects from concept through production delivery.
- Proven capability to act as a technical leader and mentor, influencing engineering best practices and providing technical direction within a team.
- Exceptional communication skills for leading technical discussions, aligning stakeholders across engineering groups, and presenting design proposals.
- Willingness to work from the Bengaluru, India office in an in-office environment, in compliance with company policies.
