Job Description
The role involves owning the reliability of a global customer fleet by developing innovative software and AI solutions to analyze, predict, and proactively protect system health, while investigating issues and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure high uptime and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigations and develop engineering solutions for emergent issues in the customer fleet.
- Develop services and AI tools for diagnosing and protecting the fleet's health.
- Design analytics to monitor system health and predict potential problems.
- Analyze complex customer issues and collaborate with engineering teams to develop solutions.
- Represent customer interests and technical issues to internal teams and during customer interactions.
- Participate in on-call rotations to respond to worldwide customer outages and improve system uptime.
Requirements
- A solid background in software development along with experience with Linux, system administration, networking, and storage.
- 8-12 years of relevant work experience in software engineering or related fields.
- Experience with large production environments as an SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) or similar role.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Go, Java, Python, C, and Linux.
- Ability to learn new technology on the job.
- Natural curiosity, obsessive attention to detail, and innate troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and describe them in simple terms.
