Job Description
The job involves leading a manufacturing test team in Bangalore, focusing on developing and maintaining advanced software tools for testing x86 and data store hardware products. The role requires expertise in software programming and manufacturing testing, with an emphasis on enhancing tool functionality and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and deploy software updates for manufacturing test tools focused on x86 and data store hardware.
- Direct the Bangalore team's efforts in manufacturing test tool development and ensure alignment with the Tools Team's mission.
- Lead continuous enhancements in manufacturing test procedures for x86 and data store hardware.
- Modernize legacy source code to align with Golden JSON data standards for manufacturing test environments.
- Initiate ongoing development of test tools to enhance debugging capabilities based on feedback from the debug team.
- Ensure test software supports effective debugging in various manufacturing settings, including failure injection techniques.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration within the Tools Team and across functional units.
Requirements
- Proficient in software programming with a focus on developing, supporting, and maintaining advanced software tools for manufacturing tests of x86 and data store Direct Flash Module hardware products.
- Experience in manufacturing testing, specifically in enhancing software tools dedicated to the manufacturing test environment.
- Demonstrated ability to evolve from an active programming role into a strategic leadership position.
- Experience in directing team efforts in manufacturing test tool development and ensuring alignment with the overarching mission of the Tools Team.
- Strong communication skills to serve as a pivotal link between geographical teams and ensure integration of efforts in manufacturing test tool projects.
- Experience in leading continuous enhancements in manufacturing test procedures for x86 and data store hardware, particularly in improving DUT failure handling and debugging processes.
- Ability to modernize and align legacy source code with the latest Golden JSON data standards for manufacturing test environments.
- Experience in initiating and steering the ongoing development of test tools with a focus on enhancing debugging capabilities tailored to manufacturing test requirements.
- Ensuring that test software provides comprehensive support for effective debugging in various manufacturing settings, including the implementation of failure injection techniques.
- Strong collaborative skills to uphold communication and cooperative problem-solving within the Tools Team and across functional units.
- Willingness to work in the office for 3 days a week as per Pure's Hybrid Work Policy.
