The Junior Accountant role involves supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing reconciliations, maintaining internal controls, analyzing financial data, and assisting with audits in a dynamic, multinational company.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
Reconcile key accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
Maintain internal controls and identify opportunities to automate or streamline accounting workflows.
Conduct fluctuation analysis and transform financial data into clear narratives for business insights.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and schedules to ensure financial transparency.
Requirements
A solid grasp of accounting standards GAAP and IFRS, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a professional accounting or audit environment.
Experience working within major ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically using VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables to organize data and perform accurate financial calculations.
Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail that allow managing competing deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues and work effectively as part of a global, diverse team.
Work from the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
