Job Description
The Junior Accountant role involves supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing reconciliations, maintaining internal controls, analyzing financial data, and preparing documentation for audits in a dynamic, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Reconcile key accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain a reliable general ledger.
- Maintain internal controls and identify opportunities to automate or streamline accounting workflows.
- Conduct fluctuation analysis and transform financial data into clear narratives for business insights.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and schedules to ensure transparency.
Requirements
- A solid grasp of accounting standards GAAP and IFRS, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a professional accounting or audit environment.
- Experience working within major ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically using VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables to organize data and perform accurate financial calculations.
- Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail that allow managing competing deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues and work effectively as part of a global, diverse team.
- Willingness to work from the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
