Job Description
The Supply-Demand Planner for Pure Storage's Hyperscale Business will manage demand forecasting and supply planning for hyperscale products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal product availability and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecast demand for Pure's Hyperscale products with input from various stakeholders.
- Consolidate demand across multiple internal and external streams for build planning.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks of availability and excess obsolescence.
- Manage planning strategies for product and key component transitions.
- Create key commodity requirements and risk management strategies for assigned commodities.
- Work cross-functionally to align on planning strategies and support execution.
- Co-plan with manufacturers on request-commit processes to ensure supply availability.
- Prepare and present forecast content and insights for meetings.
- Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to inform strategic planning.
- Use internal tools to track bookings, forecasts, and demand trends.
- Lead and support the creation of new business processes and tools for the Demand Planning Team.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Business, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Proven experience in supply-demand planning, preferably in the hyperscale or technology industry.
- Strong understanding of market trends, key commodities, and global supply chain dynamics.
- Experience in Supply Chain Planning for Hyperscale Infrastructure, including Compute, Storage or Networking Products, or related Commodities such as CPU, NAND, DRAM, PCI HBA cards, etc.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and Demand Management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to generate accurate product and component forecasts.
- Collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience leading the rollout of ERP, Demand Management, or S&OP systems.
- Ability to be present in the office for 4 days a week.
