Job Description

The Supply-Demand Planner for Pure Storage's Hyperscale Business will manage demand forecasting and supply planning for hyperscale products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal product availability and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast demand for Pure's Hyperscale products with input from various stakeholders.
  • Consolidate demand across multiple internal and external streams for build planning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks of availability and excess obsolescence.
  • Manage planning strategies for product and key component transitions.
  • Create key commodity requirements and risk management strategies for assigned commodities.
  • Work cross-functionally to align on planning strategies and support execution.
  • Co-plan with manufacturers on request-commit processes to ensure supply availability.
  • Prepare and present forecast content and insights for meetings.
  • Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to inform strategic planning.
  • Use internal tools to track bookings, forecasts, and demand trends.
  • Lead and support the creation of new business processes and tools for the Demand Planning Team.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Business, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in supply-demand planning, preferably in the hyperscale or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, key commodities, and global supply chain dynamics.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning for Hyperscale Infrastructure, including Compute, Storage or Networking Products, or related Commodities such as CPU, NAND, DRAM, PCI HBA cards, etc.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and Demand Management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to generate accurate product and component forecasts.
  • Collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience leading the rollout of ERP, Demand Management, or S&OP systems.
  • Ability to be present in the office for 4 days a week.
