Job Description
The HR Data Specialist - Manager is a leadership role responsible for managing and ensuring the integrity of employee data within HR systems, primarily Workday, while overseeing data lifecycle processes, compliance, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimize HR data management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of HR data specialists.
- Oversee the end-to-end employee data lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
- Maintain, audit, and enhance data quality in Workday, enforcing data governance standards.
- Drive operational efficiency by monitoring performance metrics and coordinating system enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver a cohesive data experience and provide reports and analytics.
Requirements
- Leadership and operational experience in an HR setting, specifically managing or leading a team of data specialists for at least 3 years, or significant exposure to HR Business Partner or HR Generalist work activities.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of regional HR legislation, employment law, principles, policies, and procedures.
- Good years of team leadership experience in an HR setting or significant exposure to HR Business Partner or HR Generalist work activities.
- Demonstrate a strong process improvement mindset and a high level of comfort working with technology to develop HR solutions, with understanding of LEAN and AGILE methodologies being a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple engagements autonomously across multiple time zones.
- Experience in managing the integrity, governance, and management of employee data within HR systems, primarily utilizing Workday.
- Ability to manage the end-to-end employee data lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, and terminations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all transactions.
- Experience maintaining, auditing, and enhancing data quality in HR systems, enforcing data governance standards, naming conventions, and validation rules.
- Accountability for performance metrics, SLAs, and KPIs, with a focus on driving continuous improvement for operational efficiency, and coordinating system enhancements and upgrades with IT.
- Ability to partner with internal stakeholders such as HRBPs, Payroll, Legal, and regional partners (AMER, EMEA, APJ) to deliver a cohesive data experience and provide reports and analytics.
