Key Responsibilities
This is a dedicated role within the Systems Engineering Excellence Center in Prague, with a dotted line into the OEM/Managed Service Provider program team. Because this is a remote coverage model serving a global account base from an EMEA time zone, you'll be trusted to manage your own calendar and priorities against a demanding and unpredictable inbound flow.
You will help to move hundreds of end-customer deployments onto Everpure arrays, arriving in quarterly waves over the next three years. You'll own the repeatable, high-volume technical work that makes the OEM motion run — storage sizing, inbound technical questions, and RFx/RFP responses — and you'll validate that the established reference configurations remain current, supportable and quotable, working alongside the senior Systems Engineers who own the reference array designs.
You won't be in this alone. You'll be joining a collaborative Excellence Center team in Prague known for sharing knowledge and celebrating successes together, and you'll partner daily with the account and program teams across EMEA. Your contributions will be immediately visible — this is a role where the whole business can see whether the work is moving.
What Success Looks Like: you become the person the OEM partner and program team go to first. Success is measured in velocity and conversion — prompt, high-quality RFx, technical question and quote responses; migration opportunities moving steadily from identified to quoted. It is also measured in what you give back: Strategics Systems Engineers spending less time on escalations because you have already handled them.
Own the Technical Response Desk: Act as the first technical point of contact for inbound OEM partner questions, triaging, answering and escalating so that nothing waits on someone else's calendar.
Drive Storage Sizing and Quote Support: Size and validate configurations to support partner quote requests, turning them around quickly and accurately.
Respond to RFx questions: Lead and coordinate technical responses to partner RFXs and RFPs, pulling in specialist input where needed and keeping response times short.
Maintain Reference Configuration Currency: Systematically review the established partner reference configurations to confirm they remain current, supportable and quotable, and flag where designs need refresh from the Strategics SE team.
Accelerate the Migration Wave: Provide technical coverage across the migration accounts that sit outside the Strategics remit, helping move opportunities from identified to quoted.
Give Leverage to the Account Team: Build strong working relationships with the Strategics Systems Engineers and the OEM programme team, taking repeatable technical work off their plate so they can focus on design and R&D engagement.
Operate with Excellence Center Discipline: Log activity in SFDC and ServiceNow so that contribution is visible and measurable, and contribute to the tooling, templates and playbooks that make this motion repeatable as we extend it to further OEM partners.
Requirements
Proven Technical Experience: 3–6 years of professional experience in a technical or pre-sales environment (e.g. Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, Infrastructure Consultant, or a strong technical support background), with a track record of owning technical requirements through to a quotable outcome.
Domain Expertise: Solid working knowledge across block, file and object or cloud technologies. You can independently design solutions for well-defined requirements and know when to bring in additional expertise.
Configuration and Sizing Confidence: Comfort with sizing tools and configuration validation, and the attention to detail to get a quote right first time under time pressure.
Communication: Fluent spoken and excellent written English and the ability to produce clear, accurate RFP and RFX responses to deadlines.
Autonomy and Prioritisation: A high degree of self-motivation and the judgement to manage a variable inbound workload, ensuring your time is fully utilised across competing requests without day-to-day direction.
Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated success working closely with sales and technical counterparts to achieve shared objectives, and the confidence to interact directly with technical personas at a significant global partner.
Remote Working Effectiveness: The ability to build trust and technical credibility with colleagues and partner contacts you may rarely meet in person. Occasional travel, typically 5–10%.
A Foundation to Build On: Bachelors degree in CS, EE or another technical degree and/or equivalent experience. Awareness of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, Object, SAN), and familiarity with VMware, Linux and networking fundamentals, is helpful. Experience of the telco or OEM sector, open-source storage platforms, or Red Hat OpenShift advantageous.
