Job Description
An Engineering Manager role leading a software engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining the core orchestration, security, and upgrade systems of a unified fast file and object storage platform, ensuring reliability, security, and seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of systems engineers.
- Oversee development of data security features such as at-rest encryption and external key management.
- Own strategy and delivery of the FlashBlade self-service upgrade experience.
- Develop and maintain core device orchestration and health management systems.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and execute a product roadmap.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing software engineering team through the complete project lifecycle.
- A strong technical foundation in systems engineering, including areas like distributed systems, operating systems, storage, or complex software orchestration.
- Experience driving technical strategy and owning the delivery of a product roadmap in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a passion for ensuring product quality and a relentless focus on the customer experience.
- Ability to lead and influence multiple stakeholders across geographies, functions, and time zones.
- Work from the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
