Job Description
The Director of Product and Technology Public Relations at Pure Storage will lead the development and execution of strategic public relations programs to enhance the company's visibility and reputation in the technology sector, focusing on product and technology communications. This role requires strong media relationships, creative storytelling, and a deep understanding of the tech industry to effectively promote Pure's innovations and thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of product and technology public relations programs.
- Craft compelling announcements, blogs, key messages, and narratives.
- Maintain awareness of industry and technology issues and insert Pure's point of view.
- Leverage and create relationships with technology trade and business media.
- Serve as a spokesperson on product and technology news.
- Collaborate with leadership and product marketing to support product and tech priorities.
- Partner with Analyst Relations to enhance communications programs.
- Broaden awareness and consideration of Pure Storage and its competitive differentiation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, or a technology field.
- 10-12 years of experience in technology product Public Relations in the tech sector.
- Ability to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure's policies.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills to craft compelling announcements, blogs, key messages, and narratives.
- Experience working in a small-team environment and ability to partner across the comms team and global organizational functions.
- Adept at educating business stakeholders about what great PR looks like.
