Job Description
The job involves joining the Portworx QA team to ensure the highest quality of the Portworx suite of products through datapath testing, bug documentation, and feature completion. Candidates should have experience in storage system testing, building test ecosystems, and working with virtualized environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct datapath testing for the Cloud Native Storage product line
- File and own related bugs, documenting and debugging issues
- Drive features to completion by reviewing requirements and building test strategies
- Build and scale complex system tests using virtualized environments and test tools
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and assist with customer escalations
Requirements
- 7 years relevant work experience in Storage system Testing with ability to create enterprise end-to-end test ecosystems from the ground up and maintain it over time.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Science (CS) or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in testing snapshots, cloning, and NFS.
- Knowledge of EXT4 file system.
- Experience in developing IO Profiles and understanding IO patterns.
- Understanding use case vs functional aspects and coming up with end-to-end tests.
- Understanding how to benchmark typical Linux systems with different IO tools like FIO, vdbench, and TPCC.
- Highly skilled in building out and working with virtualized environments such as ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V, and Dockers.
- Comfortable with Linux environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Team player with excellent communication skills and strong multi-tasking ability.
