Job Description
A Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data ecosystems and pipelines to support business intelligence, analytics, and AI-driven systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring data security and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and expand the data ecosystem supporting business intelligence, analytics, reporting, and AI agents
- Architect, maintain, and support enterprise data warehouse, data platforms, and core data interfaces
- Develop and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines in production
- Ensure data integrity and security through governance practices
- Design and implement AI-ready datasets and AI tools for support systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data needs into technical solutions
- Integrate data from third-party platforms and internal tools
- Communicate effectively across global teams to clarify requirements and report progress
- Participate in on-call support for data pipelines and ingestion systems
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Go, TypeScript, C++, C#, or Scala.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and workflow processes at scale.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Snowflake, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow or DBT, and stream-processing systems like Kafka or AWS SNS SQS.
- Ability to work primarily from the Prague, Czech Republic office.
- Strong curiosity, adaptability, and motivation to learn about AI-driven systems and how data engineering supports intelligent automation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive, customer-oriented mindset, understanding how engineering creates measurable business impact.
